New Exclusive Kroot “Hunter Strikes” Miniature Unveiled

Each year, Games Workshop attends numerous events around the world where they showcase new products, run Warhammer gaming tournaments and oversee contests like the annual Golden Demon painting awards.

During these events, Games Workshop also releases a number of special edition miniatures that can be purchased by attendees several months before they’re made available to the general public.

As part of plans for the upcoming year, GW has just unveiled the first convention-exclusive Warhammer 40K miniature for 2024: the upcoming Kroot “The Hunter Strikes” model, which will be available for a limited time at AdeptiCon this March.

So just what can fans expect from this new carnivorous collectible? Below, we hunt down all the details.

What is the Kroot Hunter Strikes Miniature?

The new Kroot Hunter Strikes figures is a limited edition miniature of a Kroot Carnivore leaping into battle with a double-blade rifle. Notably, Kroot Carnivores have appeared in past editions of Warhammer 40K but more recently resurfaced in the Kroot Hunting Pack box set, which is being released as part of the upcoming T’au Empire Codex for 10th edition.

While the data sheet for the figure isn’t yet available, we do know that he’s equipped with a rifle and a few pieces of extra equipment, including a butchering knife, a meathook and assorted carving tools. That makes sense given that the Kroot prefer to devour their prey, absorbing their DNA and abilities in the process.

How much is the Kroot Hunter Strikes miniature?

Currently, the price of the Kroot Hunter Strikes model is not known. As a limited edition standalone miniature, however, it will be likely anywhere from $40-60 USD range (which is comparable to what we’ve seen in the past with similar releases).

It’s possible that pricing may also vary when it is first released to convention goers, as opposed to later on when it’s available to the public online or at local game stores.

Where can you get the Kroot Hunter Strikes Miniature?

The figure will first be available exclusively at AdeptiCon 2024, which runs from March 20th to 24th and takes place in Schaumburg, Illinois.

As with other exclusive convention miniatures, however, it’s likely that the Kroot Hunter Strikes model will be available to the public several months after its initial release. At that time it should be available on shelves at physical retailers, as well as online via the Games Workshop store.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this figure in the days ahead and will update this page as we learn more about it during AdeptiCon 2024.
