2024 is quickly shaping up to be the year off the WAAAGH!, with Games Workshop giving everyone’s favorite green skinned xenos plenty of lovin’. In particular, we’ve seen the launch of the novel Da Big Dakka (which made our list for one of the best Warhammer 40K Ork books of all time), plus several new models and a new 10th edition Ork Codex.
Now, GW is keeping the kustom krumpin’ komin’, unveiling their new Stompa Boyz Ork Battleforce, which will be released on April 27th, 2024 and is available now on the Games Workshop website.
So does this new Ork battleforce deliver the dakka? Below, we bash out all the details.
What’s included in the NEW Stompa Boyz Ork Battleforce?
The new Stompa Boyz Battleforce includes 23 individual models, as follows:
Notably, all of these units have been previously released, with the exception of the Ork Big Mek, which is a brand new model. It’s also worth noting that the Lootas can also be reconfigured as Burna Boyz.
What are the datasheets and point values of the Stompa Boyz?
The complete datasheets for the Stompa Boyz will first be made available in the upcoming Ork Codex for 10th edition, but stats can be found in Games Workshop’s free Ork rules PDF.
According to the latest version of the Munitorum Field Manual (which breaks out the current point value for our Warhammer 40K 10th edition units), the breakout is as follows:
- 10x Boyz: 85 points
- 10x Lootas: 50-150 points (depending on configuration). If you chose to change them to Burna Boyz, the range is 60-180 pints.
- Stompa: 800 points
- Big Mek: Unknown until the 10th edition Ork Codex is published, but likely 75-80 points
- Trukk: 65 points
So all told, you’re looking at 1,075 to 1,210 points for the Stompa Boyz, but this number will be confirmed when the Battleforce is released.
When is the New Ork Battleforce Going to be Released?
The Stompa Boyz Battleforce will be available on April 27th, 2024, to coincide with the launch of the the upcoming 10th edition Ork Codex.
Notably, in recent months Games Workshop has been having difficulties meeting pre-order demand, with some third-party game stores being unable to get their hands on product, so you may want to check with your local retailer to see if and when the new Ork Battleforce is available in your area.
How much is the new Stompa Boyz Ork Battleforce?
The Stompa Boyz will retail for $210 USD if you purchase it directly from the Games Workshop website. This is comparable to what we’ve seen past Battleforces retail for.
If you were to purchase the models separately you’d likely be looking at around $340 USD, so the savings here is considerable. Of course, as always, prices may vary if you buy the model from your local game store or from Amazon (where discounts and sales may allow you to pick him up for a bit cheaper, with most third-party retailers offering at least 10-15% discounts).
What previous Ork Battleforce Sets are available?

Final Thoughts
It’s great to see a new Ork battleforce hitting Warhammer 40K 10th edition and the models on offering look like a solid mix of firepower and sheer chaos. We’re planning pick these puppies up just for the chance to see a Stompa go toe-to-toe with an Imperial Titan.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this story in the days ahead and will update this page with more information closer to launch.
